The hotel was built in the late 1800's and was originally an up market hotel for wealthy fishermen, stalkers and travelers.
It was previously called "The Profeits Hotel" being built for the 2 nieces of Queen Victoria's doctor - Doctor Profeit. Nowadays, with the demand for en-suite accommodation, the rooms are smaller to accommodate bathrooms, however, it is still a popular destination for fishers, stalkers and tourists.
We bought the hotel from the receivers in January 1998. With our previous experience and expertise in the Hotel & Catering Industry, we have transformed this once dead business into a thriving, family run countryside hotel.
Our aim is to provide a hotel of exceptional value for money, in both levels of service and products offered, in this area of outstanding natural beauty. Serving both the tourist and business traveler, whether partaking in business or pleasure, sporting or leisure, we can accommodate each ones needs.
